ColorEye - CE3100
The GretagMacbeth Color-Eye 3100 is designed to meet the special measurement
challenges caused by fluorescent whitening agents and optical brighteners.
These measurements are critical for people involved in the manufacture
of paper, textiles, plastics and detergents, and especially when dealing
with post-consumer waste recycling where the UV content is unknown.
Included with the color-Eye 3100 is a special whiteness standard utilized
with the adjustable UV filtering mechanism. It enables users to adjust
to the appropriate UV content for D65 illumination, ensuring the stability
and repearability of whiteness measurements.
Pulsed xenon illumination further enhances measurement accuracy by providing
true D65 spectral energy distribution, essential to achieving proper UV
excitation when measuring the effects of whiteness and brightness additives.
No other light source can provide this capability for stable brightness
measurements.
