VERSATILE AND SIMPLE TO USE
The Crockmaster performs a simple test of rubbing the sample to allow the evaluation of colour fastness. A white crocking cloth (also known as Cotton Lawn) is placed on the Rubbing Finger at the head of the instrument which is then rubbed on the sample. The subsequent degree of colour transfer is then evaluated via the use of a grey scale, as a method for evaluating staining and is then graded.
TEST A WIDE RANGE OF MATERIALS
The Crockmaster can be used for testing a number of materials including textiles, carpets, laminates and painted surfaces.
MOTORISED OR MANUAL OPTIONS
There are two instruments available, either hand operated or motorised.
EASY TO LOAD
The rubbing finger is easy to load with crocking cloth by using a spring clip.
CROCKING CLOTH
The crocking test is based on assessing the amount of dye transferred from the specimen under test to a standardised crocking cloth. We supply pre-cut cloths to suit the differing requirements of ISO and AATCC standards.
GREY SCALES
When the test is complete, an assessment of the amount of colour transferred to the crocking cloth is made with the aid of a grey scale.James-Heal-Crockmaster.pdf
